Scotch® Filament Packing Tape Blue

Although somewhat expensive for everyday use, this is a must have tape for almost everyone.

It does not tear across (although it will split down its length), so you need a knife or scissors to cut it. It does not stretch along its length so will hold items exactly where you place them, which can be exceptionally useful for DIY and repairs - you can really put pressure on with it and know that it will keep it on. It is clean to use and is the tape to turn to when others are not up to the job.

Because of its strength I have used it on a number of occasions to make handles on boxes or difficult packages. Just cut of a suitable length for the handle first and then as you bring the tape around the box or object simply stick the handle length to the back of the main tape, leave a little slack and continue on, making sure the tape on either side is well stuck on. The tape will rip off before the handle stretches or breaks and if you go around a couple of times, even this will not happen. I have carried both heavy and tricky loads in this way and would now trust no other tape that I have come across in the same way as I do this one. I have half a dozen tapes for different purposes, but I always know where my roll of this tape is in case I need that something extra.- Gerard,Worcester
